ADA and Accessibility Services provides information to assist guests attending Virginia Tech commencement ceremonies, including families of graduates or the general public.

Parking and bus transportation
Accessible parking spaces are located near Cassell Coliseum and Lane Stadium. Detailed information is available at the university’s commencement website. Bus schedules and accessibility information are available through Blacksburg Transit.
American Sign Language interpreters will be provided for undergraduate and graduate university commencement ceremonies.
Wheelchairs and other mobility devices
Virginia Tech does not provide mobility devices to individual guests or employees specifically for commencement. If you do not have a personal mobility device that you can bring with you, you may rent one in your hometown or from a local rental agency.

Accessible seating is available in Cassell Coliseum and Lane Stadium. No tickets are required for the accessible seating, but these seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
Each college administers its own individual degree ceremony and is responsible for providing any necessary accommodations. Individual colleges will provide graduating students information related to that student’s individual degree ceremony in the weeks prior to commencement.
Individuals who require an accommodation for any of the individual degree ceremonies should contact the department hosting the ceremony for assistance.
