Saint Francis Service Dogs and Healing Strides of Virginia presented and provided demonstrations.

Cabel Youell from Saint Francis Service Dogs presented on how service dogs are trained. Youell will also did a demonstration with one of the service dogs.

Accredited by Assistance Dogs International, Saint Francis Service Dogs is the largest service dog organization in Virginia. They professionally train service dogs to assist people with a wide range of disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, joint and/or muscular diseases, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, paralysis, Parkinson’s disease, and rheumatoid arthritis.

Members from Healing Strides of Virginia presented about their organization and provided a demonstration with some of their horses.

Healing Strides of Virginia is a non-profit, Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy Program. The program includes, therapeutic riding, equine assisted learning, equine assisted psychotherapy, hippotherapy, and several other programs related to equine therapies.
